Thank you everyone for all the advice!!!! I have questions!!!
- What do you do if you get a major blister on your toe while you are running?
- Do you really stop to use the restroom during the Marathon. I have been running for about 3 hours at a time and have not had to go during those runs. Will I need to go at the end of the race?
- Yes my knees hurt! As well as my back, my legs and my head. I sleep all the time and consume massive amounts of food. Is this part of the training or am I pregnant (knock on wood)!?!?! Any advice?
Did 16.5 miles on Sunday and I am doing 18 tomorrow. Cannot wait to see/meet you all very soon!
xoxo,
Lauren
Hey Lauren! Love the post!
ReplyDeleteSo from my limited knowledge
1)Major blisters- you can put body glide on your feet/toes when you run (get it at a running store) but the real problem is probably your socks. What kind are you wearing?
2) You can definitely stop and use the restroom (I did during Nike) and if you don't have to, it's fine. You will have to afterwords
3)If your knees keep hurting focus more on cross training because the running is probably irritating your IT band. Biking works wonders for loosening it up (also foam rollers are a necessity)
4)Keep eating if you are hungry. I always starve myself during training season and end up gaining weight. If your body isn't getting enough calories, it goes into starvation mode and takes everything you are eating and stores it as fat.... So eat as you feel necessary but whole grains, fruits (berries especially), veggies, and nuts are the best way to fill up!
