Wk 10 & 11: PT pain in my butt literally

So I finally hit a huge road block in my training, and I blame it on Vegas. But mostly a busy summer. I got rundown and ended up with a terrible sinus infection and really hurt my lower back on a cold quick morning run. I have been in and out of Doctor's/PT's offices working it out. I was unable to do last week's long run since my back/butt was so tight. Barely got out of the parking lot before having to turn back...there were tears. I feared I was done...kiss Chicago goodbye. But after support and PT luv, I am back on track and WILL RUN LONG tomorrow.

Things I have learned from my PT:
a. there is still time to recover from a injury
b. you will not lose your fitness level that fast
c. pain in ur glute/butt is actually caused by lower back pain
d. HEAT, all day everyday
e. Crosstrain and stretch
f. do not sit for long amounts of time...keep moving
g. the electrode machine is AMAZING...it makes you not hate your life
h. do not lift anything at all, if you have to use ur knees
i. for joint pain: eat salmon, avocado, and nuts

Attitude is everything...come on back we can do this. I also found talking to my body helps at least I hope :)
